Has there been any press coverage of the Truck of Love?
Where did the name "Truck of
Love" come from?
In the early 70's the
Truck of Love was a bi-annual event, supported by a relatively small group of
friends and family. What started as a nickname amongst that original small
group, eventually became a label that stuck.
What does the specialized
cross in the logo represent?
The "people" in
the cross represent a family or community surrounding the cross. As a primarily
Christian community, we find our center point in our faith.
Is everyone involved with
the Truck of Love Christian?
While many of those involved are Christians,
and we identify ourselves as a primarily Christian organization, people of all
beliefs and faiths are welcomed and encouraged to take part in our activities
and trips.
How many people are
involved with the Truck of Love?
There are thousands of people who have donated,
worked, and gone on trips with the Truck of Love. Currently, there is only one
full-time employee and quite a few very generous volunteers.
Has there been any press
coverage of the Truck of Love?
Yes, quite a bit. There have been a number of
TV news stories in the SF Bay area, and dozens of newspaper stories in all the
local papers. We can put links here, the Town Crier links are all dead.
